To prevent the growth of algae, Genap covered an existing water reservoir with a Genatex 1000 tensioned cover. The tensioned cover was placed over the reservoir using tensioning bands that were anchored on the outside of the dike. Due to the narrow width of the basin (20 metres) the Genatex tensioned cover was the most suitable for the anti-algae solution. (At widths in excess of 25 metres we recommend a floating cover.)
